Definitely! Your subconscious is a very powerful tool. As a matter fact, your subconscious is 90% of our mind. Your beliefs, actions, adversions, and thought patterns are a consequence of what is  ingrained in your subconscious mind. Whatever your subconscious believes to be true, it shows up in your life.

Will this help me get to the “root cause” of a problem?

I saw a stage hypnosis show and it sure looked like the people on stage were under some kind of mind control. What’s that about?

There is a huge difference between stage hypnosis and hypnotherapy. Unlike stage hypnosis, which is  mainly for entertainment purposes, hypnotherapy is therapeutic.  A stage hypnotist is trained to look for people in the audience who feel comfortable being the center of attention, and providing a some form of entertainment to the audience.  I am well trained to attentively listen to the way you talk about your goals, and to determine the best way to help you achieve them.

I think I am very analytical, so it would probably be difficult to hypnotize me, right?

Everyone is unique. It is okay to be analytical. I love working with people who are analytical. As a matter of fact, there are times when I find myself being very analytical too, hence I can relate. However, I am trained to explore the best ways that will help calm your mind chatter, and help you relax. The most important thing here, is that your conscious mind is willing to make certain changes. Given this premise, everything is fine! I would urge you to sit back, stay open, trust in the process and let us make change happen.

What if I can not experience hypnosis?

Everyone goes in to some form of hypnosis all day. Do you remember those times, when you might have been engaged in some kind of activity, and your mind just wandered away (light hypnosis) for a few seconds? In this case, you and I will be more intentional in doing this for the purpose of making the changes you desire.

What will I feel? What does it feel like to experience hypnosis?

Again, everyone experiences things differently. Hypnosis will help you feel very relaxed. You body and mind will feel so relaxed as you listen to my voice. You might also feel like you are either floating or sinking in to a very comfortable bed. You will find, that you will be able to hear everything I say, and your ability to focus will appear very heightened! However, your experience might vary with each session.

How often should the sessions be done? How many sessions do I need?

This depends on a so many factors. Everyone is unique, hence there is no one-rule fits-all here! However, it would be a good idea, to plan for at least 3 sessions.
Ideally, I do the first 2 sessions within a week.

How long is each session?

Generally, an initial session takes 90 minutes, while follow- sessions usually lasts about an hour. However, it depends on individual circumstances. For example, smoking cessation usually lasts about a couple of hours.

Is there a guarantee? How will I know it worked?

Hypnosis has the potential to work for most people, but some are more susceptible to suggestions than others. You would benefit more from hypnotherapy if you can fully commit to the process, and trust your hypnotherapist. Trust is a very essential factor here; knowing that at the end of the session/s, you will definitely achieve your desired outcome/s.

Most importantly, it depends on how much you can change the outside to match the changes happening inside. Therefore, it is vital to keep an open mind, as any scepticism may subconsciously dampen your desired outcome. You will know it has worked when you have achieved the specific goal we have set together.

What if I get stuck in hypnosis?

First, it is important to understand, that in hypnosis, the subject is TOTALLY IN CONTROL.Worthy of note also is the fact, that one is not asleep during a hypnotic trance. On the contrary, it is a relaxed state of awareness in which one has a greater access to the subconscious mind, and its internal resources.

In addition hypnosis is not a thing. Rather, it is a set pf procedures. Therefore, a hypnotized person is running through a set of procedure that are helping him/her to do certain things better than when one is not a state of hypnotic trance. For example, it is difficult for one to slow down his/her heart rate or blood pressure while in a conscious state, but in a state of hypnotic trance, one has greater access to these controls as long as one continues to remain in trance.

Therefore, since it is up to you whether or not you remain in a state of hypnotic trance or come out of it, there is no possible way of getting stuck there. So, you can come out of hypnosis whenever you choose to. You are completely in control.
